Lesson 1 - Homographs

(Words spelled the same but differ in meaning)

Han är ute på en åker och åker	-	He is driving on a field
Ska vi ha sex klockan sex?	-	Shall we have sex at six?
Tomten stod på tomten	-	Santa stood in the garden
Det var tomt på min tomt	-	My garden was empty
Får man ha får på planet?	-	Are sheep allowed on the plane?
Far, får får får? Nej, får får lamm	-	Dad, do sheep get sheep? No, sheep get lamb
Var tog vägen vägen?	-	Where did the road go?
De spelade in sitt band på band	-	They recorded their band on tape
Ät inte filen med filen - använd skeden	-	Don't use a file for the sour milk - use a spoon
Är det vinden som låter på vinden?	-	Is that the sound of the wind in the attic?
Jag hörde stegen när jag stod på stegen	-	I heard the steps when I was on the ladder
Man lyssnar bäst på rock iförd rock	-	Rock is best listened to wearing a coat
Det är rena fasan att se en fasan	-	It is terrifying to see a pheasant
