Play 'Thrust' on DeepSID

STIL commentReview copies of this game had a bugged loader which mucked up the music and so reviewers of the game gave the music a much lower rating. Julian Rignall (ex-editor of Zzap! 64) takes up the story: "I remember the God awful cacophony that was our review copy of Thrust's music as though it were still playing. This was the problem: the drum sounds worked, but all the other instrument sounds were screwed - basically it resulted in this horrible screeching noise playing to drums, rather than the cool heavyish sound that was heard in the final version of the game. It sounded really harsh and so it was duly shot down by us in the review. I remember hearing the 'proper' version of the game at a later dater and thinking 'ooooops!'. After all it was a classic tune (it became one of my faves, indeed) and we'd mercilessly beaten it down in the review, which was totally unfair. Still, it was good to be able to do a ZZAPback on it and remedy the error."

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

ifadeo:
I changed my mind, it deserves a red face… 'cause it's raw and powerful!!!
vurtx:
It captures the raw dirt of Hubbards original perfectly, and its the greatest Thrust remix of them all.
NecroPolo:
Man, the fact that this remix divides people means that you're on the right track 😉 Despite some sound quality issues, I like that a lot.
radulescu:
Great rockin' version, very live sounding…
lisawolf:
At last, how Thrust should be remixed!
gibs:
Wonderful drum, guitar sound is great and so the playing
cheetor:
OMG!
genx:
Dude! Remixing with keyboards/synthesizers is one thing, remixing with real instruments is another. Totally rocking, only the quality lets it down a tad.
rolandscholz:
Wow that's heavy!
beyond:
I like this track very much…!
Ryrynz:
Garagey, bit heavy…
omoroca:
The sound quality is dirty and doesn't sound very well-balanced. The Schnitzel, er… Guitar-playing is flawless this time but nothing spectacular.
bastard:
Too much noise
hbasm:
I don't mind hard stuff but there must be method to the madness which I don't hear here
eliot:
Guitars are good, but in this constellation they are only making noise…
felix.:
Oh my god, it'a a crap
