| STIL comment | "Human Race was a very interesting project. The tunes tried to capture some of the feel of the game, evolution etc... One of the tunes was also used for an ST game (GoldRunner I think). I only used 2 SID voices for all these tunes because I used the other for SFX...... Most of the tunes were sketched out on a small keyboard and manuscript paper. I used paper to keep track of the basic ideas and arrangement, and I still have all the original manuscripts. A lot of the manuscripts are not readable because I used to work very fast and never updated many of the changes I made. I used to use a machine code monitor to edit music data and sound patch data on the file while the tune was playing. This allowed me to really fine tune the SID parameters for the music." (RH) |

Skitz:
A nice mellow remix for sure
Dan:
Loved this, love the original, would have got a red face if the main lead hadnt been harsh
Dumper:
Nice to hear this tune done differently, I like the calm pace to it all.
Tas:
Hard to get your ears around the laid back feel. Again lovelly harmonies tho. Doesn't quite work as good as lightforce, but it's got some mysterious appeal
omoroca:
Technically very well executed! But it's a little boring, too.
vosla:
Nice but I wished there would have been more stuff to fill the aural space it opened with that spacey sound.
LMan:
Chillouty, but I feel this style does not fit this tune too well. Good plus!
beldin:
Unspectacular. Didn't get me excited.
Waz:
Didn't enjoy this one. It is a nice idea again, but let down by the fact it goes on too long compared to the original tune, and there's not enough in there to excite your emotions.
eliot:
Bad panorama, flat instruments, missing mp3 tag (is there a zero tolerance policy on RKO?)
