| STIL comment | "Human Race was a very interesting project. The tunes tried to capture some of the feel of the game, evolution etc... One of the tunes was also used for an ST game (GoldRunner I think). I only used 2 SID voices for all these tunes because I used the other for SFX...... Most of the tunes were sketched out on a small keyboard and manuscript paper. I used paper to keep track of the basic ideas and arrangement, and I still have all the original manuscripts. A lot of the manuscripts are not readable because I used to work very fast and never updated many of the changes I made. I used to use a machine code monitor to edit music data and sound patch data on the file while the tune was playing. This allowed me to really fine tune the SID parameters for the music." (RH) |

Mauriban:
Outstanding, right timing, right instruments, I like it.
omoroca:
Laid-back techno version of this nice SID tune. Has some nice effects in it. Good, plus an additional Very for the clean mixing.
the_jinx:
Really like this version…
anaconda:
Nice conversion. Everything fits.
condor:
Bassline sais psytrance, melody sais chillout… Very very good…
infamous:
Very very nice minimal trance effort… Enjoyed this alot.
dafunk:
Feeling to this is a deepnes with ambiental flavour and with a nice trancy touch to it. Although some places are bit empty. Could've used some pads or sweeping sounds, I think but the overall mood is kinda chill out for me, which is good…😊
Chris Abbott:
The nice arpeggios and choirs swing an orange from me, though I've never liked the original tune that much (blasphemy!!)
LMan:
Nicey.
spellcoder:
Nice, but a bit too long, takes up to 4:15 to get the tune started and then it abruptly stops…
romeo_knight:
Nice ideas but flat sounding
eliot:
Nice, all said above 😀
prowler:
Cool idea, but not that original I'm afraid. Too much relied on those echo effects I guess.
load_error:
It has potential for being a stunning tune, but it sounds a bit plain and simple… With some work it could work ok!
Waz:
Nice enough effort but it just takes too long to progress anywhere, and it just feels a bit dull the longer it goes on. Make the tune shorter and make the lead better and it's a winner.
Makke:
Well done, with clean mixing and good sounds, but the arrangement leaves you with a feeling something is missing. It's bordline boring towards the end of the 6 minute 37 second journey.
Dan:
Pleasent enough but never inspiring
