| STIL comment | Most of the tunes are heavily inspired by the music in the arcade game. "Turbo Outrun took about a month all together. It was a lot of fun, but I recomposed every tune about three times to get it perfect. I still think it is one of the best audio tracks I ever did on the C64." "One nice, very nice note: 'Turbo Outrun' (the music) has won the: 'Best music on 8bit computer 1989' award at the PCW show (now ECTS) in London. :D Too bad I had to find out later. US Gold received the actual award. Bastards! I wasn't even at the scene when it was presented. :( " (JT) |

Voodoo1541:
Absolutely Amazing! Nailing it in my car every day
zera:
Comes in my RKO-Evergreens-Folder 😀 Very nice job!
LukHash:
Best of all Out Run remixes. One of the best on RKO. Burn it on CD and play it in your car. It's just great!
darkj:
Wonderful Electro-pop style!!! Great!
arbory:
Great groove, I can listen to it over on over, maybe a little bit too happy-peppi and too bright
BeeZerk:
Oooohhhh, I looove this choon. Absolutely great. Love the transitions, the arrangement and that it is kept interesting all the way. Really awesome one!
blind:
One of my favourite games, great music too a bit slow but still great 😊
anaconda:
Many have tried making remakes of this tune, and this one is a solid one. Nothing special, but all in all a well done arrangement.
Aule:
Amazing Disco-Style! *shake-whiggle-whiggle*
Amok:
Verny nice arrangement and mastering. A little bit repetitive, though…
migu:
Sounds kinda fresh, extra points for the style. A bit more variation would be nice indeed.
nummer2:
I like it very much nice house track. Not often too hear such a style.
chilli_uk:
Wow - I do like this - - but hey the original was nothing special - so to improve it im so so happy - well done!
dafunk:
It's quite nice, this mix. It feels like some fusion of old and nuskool house. Not bad at all.
hillsman:
Why is this Turbo Outrun as opposed to just Outrun?
Nebdar:
There is nothing special here, too plain and simple
LaLa:
Technically very good, but the arrangement doesn't seem to move onto point B until the very end which makes it too repetitive. Great idea, though!
Imphenzia:
Production quality is very clean - was edging towards Very Good but would have liked some more variation as it is quite repetative.
omoroca:
Not my cup of tea but probably good if you like dance music!
p2:
It's a nice tune, but has nothing to do with the master tune JT did for Turbo Outrun. Only the main theme of Magical Show from the original Outrun by Jason Brooke has been used. I miss JT's influence along this one… Good try though!😉
nicodaemus:
I don't know why, but the beat sounded quite familiar… Maybe something from ABBA or… Oh well, anyway I agree with the others - solid stuff, good style, a bit repetitive.
brix:
I agree, good idea, nice style. Not a bombshell release, but solid and it works. Well, the lead instrument sounds a little bit too Amiga for me.
prowler:
Nice idea with the house beat, but it gets a bit boring after a while… A yellow for the mix, orange for the style.
Waz:
Sorry, but this is repetitive as hell and therefore quite boring on the ears. As well produced as it is, that just tries to mask its shortcomings.
