| STIL comment | "In 1988, as mentioned, I did The Last Ninja 2 for System 3. I did the Central Park tracks first, which was important in order to stamp some sort of "sound" on the game. It basically took from mid-January until early April to finish. It's about as big a project as you would want to undertake, but everything just seemed to work without any real hitches. I was given a fairly free hand to produce what I thought would be most suitable and luckily, every time I took in new tracks for each level, I got the thumbs up. It was a great time for me personally, to suddenly be working full time on C64 music. I was almost 18, but I had no real worries in the world beyond whether I could afford to buy a better car. I think the entire The Last Ninja 2 soundtrack is my proudest achievement, especially the Central Park tracks, as they seem to mean so much to so many people. The project itself was a pleasure to be part of. The whole team involved were probably at the top of their C64 game at the time, from John's programming to Hugh's fantastic graphics, Tim's storyboarding and of course Mark's overall vision and commitment. It's amazing that we're still talking about it nearly 30 years on." (MDG) |

| Title: | Kentilla (3:31-6:08) |
| Artist: | Rob Hubbard |
| Comment: | Only the part from 6:10-8:36 in Kentilla is covered here, mostly the bassline of it. It is quite possible that both Kentilla and this tune are covers of a third one, though. |

| Title: | Beat Dis [from Into The Dragon] |
| Artist: | Bomb the Bass |
| Comment: | Bits and pieces, not the whole music. The bassline mimics the original pretty well. |

| Title: | Midnight In Tula [from White Eagle] |
| Artist: | Tangerine Dream |
| Comment: | It's not a complete one-to-one implementation, 'cause Matt added some of his own flavor to the muse, but it's quite obvious where he got the idea from in the first minute or so. ;) |

Nebdar:
Very good short version… If only ot would be longer
Agemixer:
Good one as a short version, cool sounds, but a bit artificial to this one.
Caboose:
I liked it! Should be longer!
GlenBenton:
Way too short. But ok!
_steve_:
It's nice, but wouldn't it make more sense to release the whole track in one go and not just the introduction part of what is approximately an 8 minute song.
tony.rc:
Finally a nice delicate and calming Last Ninja tune, I felt a little cheated because it was so short.
LaLa:
This is very promising, I love the piano, but it ends when it should've started! Too bad.
omoroca:
First, it raises the expectations, and then… It's over! Just after the intro! Could've been orange! Or more!
prowler:
Good intro, would suit a 5 min tune well 😉
anaconda:
Nice little tune. It's really a loader tune.
pricer:
What's here is fantastic, but this is only the intro, how about doing the rest of the tune to the same standard and getting a red?
Amok:
Pretty good, but like nicodaemus said, TOO SHORT!!! It ends, when it should start.
nicodaemus:
I really wanted to give this a grey for being so darn short, but even as LN remixes go this is quite well done. Too good for an average rating imo. Maybe a bit TOO original and definitely too short.
kjetiln:
There's absolutely no special about this one besides cutting out the best part… And the little that is here is just ok.
