STIL comment"In 1988, as mentioned, I did The Last Ninja 2 for System 3. I did the Central Park tracks first, which was important in order to stamp some sort of "sound" on the game. It basically took from mid-January until early April to finish. It's about as big a project as you would want to undertake, but everything just seemed to work without any real hitches. I was given a fairly free hand to produce what I thought would be most suitable and luckily, every time I took in new tracks for each level, I got the thumbs up. It was a great time for me personally, to suddenly be working full time on C64 music. I was almost 18, but I had no real worries in the world beyond whether I could afford to buy a better car. I think the entire The Last Ninja 2 soundtrack is my proudest achievement, especially the Central Park tracks, as they seem to mean so much to so many people. The project itself was a pleasure to be part of. The whole team involved were probably at the top of their C64 game at the time, from John's programming to Hugh's fantastic graphics, Tim's storyboarding and of course Mark's overall vision and commitment. It's amazing that we're still talking about it nearly 30 years on." (MDG)

  Title: Kentilla (3:31-6:08)
  Artist: Rob Hubbard
Comment: Only the part from 6:10-8:36 in Kentilla is covered here, mostly the bassline of it. It is quite possible that both Kentilla and this tune are covers of a third one, though.

#7 - The Basement (loader)

#8 - The Basement (in-game)

#9 - The Office (loader)

Title: Beat Dis [from Into The Dragon]
  Artist: Bomb the Bass
Comment: Bits and pieces, not the whole music. The bassline mimics the original pretty well.

#10 - The Office (in-game)

Title: Midnight In Tula [from White Eagle]
  Artist: Tangerine Dream
Comment: It's not a complete one-to-one implementation, 'cause Matt added some of his own flavor to the muse, but it's quite obvious where he got the idea from in the first minute or so. ;)

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

NecroPolo:
Apart from the typical dance lead in-lead out, this mix is not typical at all and has a very pleasant, balanced sound and mood. Max point from me.
Caboose:
I love this.
z80:
Just because to find specials like this, I am checking this site every other day. Top!
infamous:
YES. Great take on the last ninja tune and really well produced this strokes my ears in a very pleasant way
condor:
Yes, nice one. Like the sounds in it, sounds progressive, overall nice atmosphere 😉
Nebdar:
Great mixing and idea
LaLa:
Clean and original, which is hard to do in the 'Last Ninja remix' genre.
prowler:
It got a quite interesting beat, cool sound!
Master Baator:
It is not my favorite cup of tea in music taste, so I've let my music voice speak instead. This is a very skilled composition with many small twist and turns that show your potential. WOW… I hope you hit my taste next time… 😃
nicodaemus:
The fact that I got a foible for LN remixes and the fact that they're oft-remixed normally means I rate most tracks one point lower than usual. This time my bonus point for originality of concept makes up for that. Have an orange for this laid-back tune.
RemixFan:
Good sound, however, there is no percentage increase in this Remix.
Mordi:
Alright sound, but the song is very samey.
WarrenMill:
I don't recognize the original tune at all… And it doesn't have any other interesting features either in my opinion. But technically, a nice tune, though.
nummer2:
Your first mix was really good this one is boring im sorry
Satanarchist:
Whats there is ok, but its missing a lead! It would make good backing music but I got bored.
