#2 - Dance of the Yao People

Artist: Liu Tieshan and Mao Yüan
Comment: Composed in 1950, "Dance of the Yao People" combined folk melodies and rhythms of the Yao people from the Yunan province, southwestern China. Information comes from the liner notes for "Phases of the Moon", a 1981 compact disk published by CBS Records. "Fred Milgrom (founder of MH) gave me heaps of latitude, for which I can only be grateful. I actually studied Chinese and Japanese recordings and instruments for some of these pieces, absurdly serious as that may sound." (NB)

Great work, treads on bass overload but manages it perfectly. Excellent arrangement and mix.

I really like the the athmosphere and the instruments you have chosen for your remix: unobtrusively and therefore appropriately. Welcome to the Remixer Scene, Theo!
Methanoid:
Great tune…
al.x:
Great job from a newcomer!
lomaxx:
I like it very much. An on point instrumentation of tune I also like a lot in it's original state.
Glyn R. Brown:
Quite soothing & hypnotic… Nice work 😊
Marcus:
Kudos! The minimalistic style is sounding really great. The remix hits the emotions very well I had for this game decades ago. The deep bass fits very good in the mix.
LaLa:
A really good remix from a newcomer. A bit too minimalist for my taste, but that does keep it in style with the original.
