How much music is much music?
I decided to take a look at the traffic stats on my SLAYRadio relay and found out that it had pushed 1.1TB since last boot. That is a lot of bytes.
So, checking uptime says that is has been running for some 74 days and 15 hours, which is 107460 minutes, and in that time it has sent 1311432403594 bytes, for an average of 203 kilobytes/second all day and all night.
Of course there are more people in different times of the day and most people tend to drop in during live shows, but for anyone wanting to know how much data the relays push, this one machine is showing 20% (given that there are currently five relays) of the output needed to feed all the listeners. It seems like SLAY is totalling some 10MBits/s overall. Not bad at all.
