Remixer of the Year Awards 2025 - Results

The Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 awards was broadcast on February 21, 2026, hosted by Slaygon, ziona and Boz. A quick recap by LaLa below:

The traditional month-by-month highlights were interspersed with the announcements of the winners in the various categories:

* The Best Newcomer award was won by Thomas Bendt! Although he was new to the remix scene in 2025, he's already been well known on the SID scene before that as Scortia.

* In the Best Veteran category Tim Forsyth edged out Marcel, Makke, Dr Future and Jogeir who rounded out the top 5.

* The title of the Best Amiga Remix went to Jogeir's Cruisin, which was also the winner of the BIT Live 2025 Remix Compo. Second place went to UwU KAOS by hyperunknown, and third to Apidya (End Credits) by Tim Forsyth.

* The award for the Best C64 Remix was won by V. Kaufmann with Wizball ShapedSigns by quite a margin. Thomas Bendt won second place with his Ghosts'n Goblins tune, and third by Tim Forsyth with his excellent rendition of Dan Dare 3.

* A Special Achievement with the title Beyond Lifetime Award was given to the late Peter Clarke, who has been a steadfast supporter of the remix scene both in the public and behind the scenes. His award was introduced with an exclusive posthumous track from the Encore 500 volume 2 album, which is Pete's remix of Giana Sisters, completed by his friends in the Encore team.

* Finally, the much anticipated Remixer of the Year 2025 yet again went to Eivind Sommersten for the second year in a row!
