STIL comment"[...] The Delta music loader and ingame music was Gary Liddon's idea. [...] He was the producer at Thalamus at the time. He told Rob Hubbard to make the ingame music like the 2nd track from Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd." (Info from Matt Furniss.) "The small jingles are all small clips from Sanxion and Romeo/Juliet music. They were all supposed to be for short stingers such as end of level, extra life etc..." "Delta was based on this minimalist composition technique inspired by Glass and a bit of Pink Floyd. It was quite hard to do and required some custom code to the driver to do it. The music was tedious to debug. The other Delta stuff was more conventional - I quite liked the other tunes. Delta was spread over a 2 week period....." (RH) According to Hubbard, Kentilla and Delta were the most complicated one to compose, they took the longest time to do and they both drove him insane.

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

nema_fakei:
Musche punches out an inspiring anthem. The gradual change of instruments as well as the good pace of the original tune and the good percussion carried me through all seven minutes enjoyably, pleasantly -but not overearingly- punctuated by the odd special
cosmic_gerbil:
I like it… It's kind of summat to listen to when you want to chill out.
eliot:
Something different… The snares are too much infront…
omoroca:
Interesting style experiment!
romeo_knight:
Too odd and lofi for my taste, another go at it with a bit more concept would come out much better.
LaLa:
Sounds like a seemingly random collection of instruments exercised at odd times with the rhythm. Interesting experimentation, but it's too long and not something I can listen to a second time.
schallmauer:
Way too long
prowler:
This is just too poor piece to enjoy - and I don't even like the orignal very much…
Scyphe:
Hmm, this could have been a good remix but the same melody line over and over and over again with squelshes and various noises added doesn't make a good remix. Some of the work on spreading out the melody over several channels was cool though.
Waz:
Interesting move to try and offset voices, Galway-style on this. But it sounds pretty messy for the most part. And waaaaay too long. Love those squelchy SID-esque drums though.
Skitz:
7 minutes of this droning remix with only burps and farts to breakup the monotomy - no thank you very much.
Dan:
If you are gonna make a mix that is this long out of a sid that is a riff 10 secs long you need to put something else in there
