STIL comment"[...] The Delta music loader and ingame music was Gary Liddon's idea. [...] He was the producer at Thalamus at the time. He told Rob Hubbard to make the ingame music like the 2nd track from Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd." (Info from Matt Furniss.) "The small jingles are all small clips from Sanxion and Romeo/Juliet music. They were all supposed to be for short stingers such as end of level, extra life etc..." "Delta was based on this minimalist composition technique inspired by Glass and a bit of Pink Floyd. It was quite hard to do and required some custom code to the driver to do it. The music was tedious to debug. The other Delta stuff was more conventional - I quite liked the other tunes. Delta was spread over a 2 week period....." (RH) According to Hubbard, Kentilla and Delta were the most complicated one to compose, they took the longest time to do and they both drove him insane.

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

Agemixer:
My humble individual vote for the month. Well distorted! - Koyaanisqatsi
symbols:
Very unique style, almost like daft punk. Although repetitive, I like new styles.
prowler:
The idea is not hopeless, but you need to find a better way to balance those disorted sounds into a melody. Listen some more to Aphex Twin or My-ziq.
germantaz:
Starts like Felix Dont you want me and ended so UMPF… Where is Delta?
kwed:
Interresting lo-fi micromusic take on Delta. Most people will probably hate it, though.
Mordi:
The robot voice was pretty similar to my reaction to this.
NecroPolo:
You guys all listen to music way too loud. I miss a little more distortion 😊
Mr P.:
I simply can't enjoy it the least… And with so many good Delta remixes out there, it's only out of grace that I give it a 'Poor' instead of 'Bad'…
strider:
Distortion overdose and I really don't like the instruments
gamleerik:
I have no idea what you were aiming for, but sorry. This did not hit home with me.
XxDUSTYxX:
You're kidding us, right? Close-to-green-ear-torture!
Scyphe:
No, this minimalistic approach with sweeps and distortion on the melody does not work. In fact, are you sure this is supposed to be delta???
LaLa:
The vocoded or synthetized vocals make no sense, there's too much distortion for my taste, arrangement is too minimal.
mfe:
Ow.
raj:
Mercy please 😊
LPChip:
I wonder if the artist made a remix just to make a remix…
vurtx:
This sounds more like miami vice than delta!
pallas:
Tearing my ears apart. Sounds worse than the real thing.
condor:
Uh… Distorsion kills it!
Satanarchist:
This is Miami Vice, not Delta… At least know what classic SID you are murdering
Nebdar:
The begining was good but the rest sound like hell broke lose. Whole tune sound like small childs remix tottally randomnes and unfiting instruments, sounds
anaconda:
Experimental stuff is really binary for me. Either it's top, or rock bottom. Unfortunately this is the latter. Nothing works in this song. I hope this was piss-take, or else a lot more practice is needed.
komet:
Aaaahh… Make it stop! MAKE IT STOOOOOOP!
nicodaemus:
Sherman mix? More like mixed by a Sherman tank by running it over - repeatedly. Had a good laugh though, so cheer up. 😃
_steve_:
I can see why you did what you did (as the original subtune 1 is weird anyway), but this is truely an assault on the ears.
Ic3m4n:
Sorry☹️ But this is absolutely not my taste. I skipped it at 2:22… Maybe after that is someone that ears could enjoy…
dragonkiss:
YIKES MY EARS!!
brix:
Probably the worst remix ever on RKO. Anyway, the orginal is not that fresh either.
c64glen:
I like the idea behind the remix, but the distorted sounds are appalling/terrible/horrible and a lot of other negative words.
Amok:
I dont like new styles causing serious ear damages…
Makke:
I have a hard time enjoying this.
slaygon:
I learned today that you can successfully distort stuff you didn't expect to sound good, but this is just painful.
Skitz:
Ouch! My poor little ears are now bleeding after listening to this.
