#1 - The Devil's Gallop [from the Dick Barton radio show]

  Artist: Charles Williams
Comment: Heavily inspired by the song Devil's Gallop, which was the title theme for the 1940's American detective radio show "Dick Barton". "Monty [...] started out as the theme from the old radio detective show, Dick Barton" (RH, in the UK magazine "Popular Computing") "MOTR was supposed to be this run around like a madman type music and has lots of energy. The middle section was an excuse to use the new pitch bend code that I wrote for this project." (RH)

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

CookieMonster64:
I like the rock remix 😊 if you just change the wrong notes it would be perfect! And I would LOVE IT!
Malleus:
Well I wanted to find some electric guitar versions of c64 tunes and found exactly what I wanted here. I like it.
cosmic_gerbil:
I really like this remix, the only problem is the few wrong notes/chords.
LMan:
Well played, badly mixed.
infamous:
I think the word is raw… As for flair of the original that would require it to still be a sid tune, not likely to be much progression that is it, theres a reason why its called a remix. Could have been better sure, but whats here is pretty good.
maindrian:
I like it. Not so much wrong notes as a choice of interpretation I think. Shame it fades away before it reaches my favourite part of the tune, but other than that, it's a pretty wild and unpredictable take. Which is good.
anaconda:
Sounds like a copycat.
icezolation:
Already heard such versions of the track more than enough - and, already said often enough, there are some wrong chords in it.
Waz:
This was so promising, electric guitars a plenty rocking out to this classic. However there's wrong notes in there and they stick out like a sore thumb. Correct and remaster them and it'll get a better mark from me.
Dan:
Please, someone do something new with the tune
omoroca:
Dark! Demonic! Average guitar playing. Bad accuracy. A few wrong chords.
weasel:
Nothing new at all… And pretty bad mastering/mixing. Sorry. Some years ago it still might have worked. But no more today!
eliot:
The flair of the original is totaly lost…
romeo_knight:
OMG, the second chord already is wrong. And it gets worse in most parts later.
