SUBTUNE INFO

#3 - Intro Tune

Comment: The tune falls out of synch at around 4:50, which is when the tune should loop. However, this is due to the music data in the game behaving exactly the same way. You would never get to hear this part of the tune in the game, as the intro would finish and load the first level before the music got to that point. "I guess I had some time pressure... I knew it would fade away anyhow... never thought about that fact that people in 2000 would listen to it with SIDPlay.... :)" (RO) The data has been restored in this SID, to make it loop properly, and is confirmed by Reyn to be correct.

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

REYN:
I love this one… It's sooooooo laid back… Almost like sirop!. . Great ideas and great concept… Too bad the mix is a bit muddy…
Supergrobi123:
I can't find anything wrong with this remix!
eliot:
We need some fresh ideas… Besides the arrangment isn't perfect, it has some nice ideas in it…
infamous:
Sounds a little off at times, and some of the instruments used sound a bit out of place, but its not too bad.
nicodaemus:
This is really different. It's fresh, not too far from the original - the late part is really great, but it really cries for a version 2. The sound is too flat. My best guess is too much filtering. With my equalizer it's good, but I can't rate that.
LaLa:
The arrangement wanders around a lot, but the remix has some nice ideas on it.
omoroca:
Sounds like it has been post-processed with a band-pass filter - no bass, no trebles! But I love the part starting at 2:09, it's classic!
Waz:
This doesn't do the original SID justice. The mixing is muddy and the arrangement doesn't really do anything inspiring.
iolo:
Not bad, not great.
finnr:
I like the piano in the beginning, but turns to synthie later.
Agemixer:
Bad arrangement, otherwise it is OK and different enough.
brix:
Not my cup of tea, sorry.
