STIL commentMost of the tunes are heavily inspired by the music in the arcade game. "Turbo Outrun took about a month all together. It was a lot of fun, but I recomposed every tune about three times to get it perfect. I still think it is one of the best audio tracks I ever did on the C64." "One nice, very nice note: 'Turbo Outrun' (the music) has won the: 'Best music on 8bit computer 1989' award at the PCW show (now ECTS) in London. :D Too bad I had to find out later. US Gold received the actual award. Bastards! I wasn't even at the scene when it was presented. :( " (JT)

Nebdar:
Better then the other OutRun remixes that I have heard
omoroca:
Simple but nice! *repeat*
nicodaemus:
I like this a lot! Very nice racing-feel to it - only thing that kinda bothered me is that is sounds like it could've been an amiga original with its distinct lotus-ish bassline. Very well done imo.
anaconda:
Ok tune. But it doesn't give any nostalgic or wow-feeling.
Dumper:
As the others have said it lacks punch, it really needed meatier drums. But overall a good effort.
symbols:
Squelchy!😊
brix:
Lots'a energy in this one but I really dislike the parts from 0:39 to 0:51, and 1:45 - 1:58, because they feel alien to the rest and it spoils the tune a lot.
Martijn:
Sadly lacking the energy of the original tune…
Agemixer:
Missing the speech…
prowler:
A blend of sounds that just don't fit together I'm afraid, the first part especially. But I like the part after 1:33!
LaLa:
Instruments lack any kind of punchiness, simplistic arrangement, doesn't carry the spirit of the original nor is it original on its own.
DJNutzZ:
The mixing and the arrangement can't convince me, sorry.
Amok:
Boring arrangement and bad instruments…
Dr Future:
A short version? Okay! A hard version? No, not really… Average arrangement, lacks a lot of punch.
_steve_:
By focussing on just one area of this track it feels like it is missing something. It just doesn't have the oomph of the original SID song.
