STIL comment"I just tried to come up with a crazy way of settling on a beginning note (my favourite beginning note of course, G - almost everything I do is in G). So I plugged in this echoing waveform thing and let it rip. The tune isn't particularly Chinese sounding, but I was working on producing that 'perfect melody', the one you'd be humming all day, you know. That was a phase I went through. [...] The sound I was converting from was itself a conversion of the arcade cabinet, which I have NEVER SEEN. It sounded like it was a lame conversion too, so I easily did a better sounding version. (The MSX's music only used two notes at once, for example.)" (MG) The MSX version of the game was the original release on cartridge in 1985. Therefore Martin Galway's recollection is covering the MSX release, as this game did not get an arcade release.

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

c64glen:
Beautiful track, very easy to get lost in it. The piano is perfect.
Arne:
I like the calm and ambient influence in this remix and a good choice of instruments.
mrt:
A nice, chilling track. I like it!
LMan:
Romantic cover version.
Melaure:
Nice background but somtime weird piano notes (or strange sample)
_steve_:
The crackling I think is the running water, just gets drowned out and sounds like a crackle. Otherwise a nice tune.
Mayhem:
Have to agree on the crackling effect, whatever it is supposed to be. Drop that and beef up the lead a little, and it's probably worthy of an orange
vurtx:
Relaxed ambience with lots of original additions, the crackling and one of the low bitrate leads at 2.58 could be improved though.
LaLa:
Drop the rain effect, it's distracting. Or make it sound more realistic. Very promising ambient intro, but the lead sound was a letdown. Interesting piece-wise ideas, but as a whole it doesn't gel together.
pie vs pie:
Certanley tick all the boxes mix and arrangment wise seems a little too long maybe
Boz:
Not bad. There's 'crackling' going on throughout the tune - I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be rain, but it comes across as being a bleeding channel. Nice idea of a reworking of a great tune. Not excellent but certainly not bad.
Ziphoid:
A quite nice rendition of this epic track with some own twists. Could have used some more imagination at some points, but overall good.
Viceman:
