| STIL comment | "I just tried to come up with a crazy way of settling on a beginning note (my favourite beginning note of course, G - almost everything I do is in G). So I plugged in this echoing waveform thing and let it rip. The tune isn't particularly Chinese sounding, but I was working on producing that 'perfect melody', the one you'd be humming all day, you know. That was a phase I went through. [...] The sound I was converting from was itself a conversion of the arcade cabinet, which I have NEVER SEEN. It sounded like it was a lame conversion too, so I easily did a better sounding version. (The MSX's music only used two notes at once, for example.)" (MG) The MSX version of the game was the original release on cartridge in 1985. Therefore Martin Galway's recollection is covering the MSX release, as this game did not get an arcade release. |

A suprisingly good fit for this tune! Never imagined hearing this tune in this style. Fantastic work!
Roby6699:
Some might think it's easy to mix masterpieces like this but it's not such a good job
XxDUSTYxX:
Double overhead, Dude! Your Surf Mix fits surprisingly well! I wanna play Yie Ar Kung-Fu AND California Games right now!😉
Tas:
I really like this fun and upbeat remix. Close to giving it a RED but it's too short and could have gone for a bigger ending. I'm torn to be honest. Nah, Listening to it a few more times it's RED!
LaLa:
I would've never imagined this SID as a surf tune, but here it is! I feel like I am visiting Southern California again!
speedy:
Really nice tune.
