SUBTUNE INFO

#1 - The Devil's Gallop [from the Dick Barton radio show]

  Artist: Charles Williams
Comment: Heavily inspired by the song Devil's Gallop, which was the title theme for the 1940's American detective radio show "Dick Barton". "Monty [...] started out as the theme from the old radio detective show, Dick Barton" (RH, in the UK magazine "Popular Computing") "MOTR was supposed to be this run around like a madman type music and has lots of energy. The middle section was an excuse to use the new pitch bend code that I wrote for this project." (RH)

OVERALL REMIX64 VOTE:

LMan:
Heh, the intro has won me over already 😃 Just can't hate it because it's *so* 80s, and it's exactly what it says on the tin.
monty:
I like it (seems that I have some kind of ifadeo-gene). At the chorus, the singer sounds a little bit like a slightly depressed andy mccluskey 😉
bizarro:
Not my style, the lyrics dont work for me, but still a good remix
nettuno:
Nice, but a little soporific 😉
infamous:
We'll original lyrics over the top of monty… Its different and not 2 bad at all
Makke:
Not quite sure what to make of this. Wanted to give it Average, but decided on Good because of the effort… It sounds very 80s!
Dan:
I upped my vote on this after a few listens, nice but the lyrics get slightly drowned out which is a shame
eliot:
Would be better if the lead is not so hidden…
Waz:
The lyrics just don't work so well, they're too low in the mix and it doesn't even sound so tuneful. An instrumental version with the rest of the tune might sound better.
anaconda:
Nice attempt on a non-instrumental. But there are a few bits on the song that doesn't quite do it. Not my cup of tea.
omoroca:
Not bad, but one point off for stealing the intro from Lady by Die Ärzte. One more point off for the amiss singing and the queasy mixing. Yuck!
