| #1 - The Devil's Gallop [from the Dick Barton radio show] | |
| Artist: | Charles Williams |
| Comment: | Heavily inspired by the song Devil's Gallop, which was the title theme for the 1940's American detective radio show "Dick Barton". "Monty [...] started out as the theme from the old radio detective show, Dick Barton" (RH, in the UK magazine "Popular Computing") "MOTR was supposed to be this run around like a madman type music and has lots of energy. The middle section was an excuse to use the new pitch bend code that I wrote for this project." (RH) |
cat:
Very…, wonderfull 😃
eeksock:
Really enjoyed this one!
Itekei:
Great, makes me cry like a schoolgirl. Auf wiedersehen, Monty!
Ryrynz:
Beautiful, would love to hear a version of this with more orchestral oomph. Could reach Marcel Donné - Sweet status potentially.
humorguy:
Most emotional cinamatic tune on this site. However it's mixed because of the fantastic original tune!
Waz:
This one is very nice, it just needs a tweak here and there in terms of the emotion and oomph. But you can't argue that it's a good effort all round.
Dan:
Mmmmm… Very promising, just a little touch here and there to give it some clout and this woulda been a sure fire winner
Chris Abbott:
Not stunning, but very nice. Could do with a bit more oomph. He's not using the dynamic range of the sounds enough.
dimmignatt:
Liked this alot… Nice work Matti!!
krusty1971:
I Love this Stunning Tune you did!! I LOVE IT 😉
LMan:
Monty on a rhapsody! Nice orchestration as usual by Matti Paalanen.
omoroca:
Not bad, not bad at all - for an orchestral approach. MIDish sounds, as always, but quite some drama in it, though. Good effort!
ifadeo:
Good one…😉
Skitz:
To me this sounds a little wrong in places but overall it does work. The mastering of the track also needs attention as it is lacks some twinkle and leveling.
weasel:
Nice try… But in parts too midi'sh in the orchestral sounding! Could have been better with a better soundDB I'm certain…
eliot:
Minimalistic approch in the beginning, would have done it for me. The orchestral does not fit that much because sounds a kind limited - strings too synthy and overall inanimate (is this the right word?).
romeo_knight:
Well executed, just a little bit too corny.
