STIL commentVery interesting story here. Katakis was released in September 1988 by Rainbow Arts, however it never got a release in the UK as Activision had it cancelled because of similarities to R-Type, to which Activision had bought the conversion rights. Activision were getting nowhere with their conversion of R-Type and they liked what they saw of Katakis, so they hired the same programming team (Manfred Trenz and others) to do the C64 conversion. They only got 6 weeks to write the conversion, and sadly, it shows. Katakis was eventually altered and released as Denaris in 1989. Tunes #2 to #14 all cover of the arcade game.

Top marks for the conception I like it takes me back to the 80's and a pocket full of change!
Shark:
Enjoyed this!
LMan:
What Kwed said 😊 Well done
Ryrynz:
Cool style, was gonna be average rated and then 0.39 kicked in. Hey Lala you need to play some arcade games!
kwed:
If Chris Huelsbeck invented a time machine and added his tune to the original Irem arcade game, it would sound like this.
LaLa:
I missed the entire arcade craze of the 80s, so my nostalgia towards this style is zilch, which is probably why I can't really appreciate this…
