| STIL comment | Very interesting story here. Katakis was released in September 1988 by Rainbow Arts, however it never got a release in the UK as Activision had it cancelled because of similarities to R-Type, to which Activision had bought the conversion rights. Activision were getting nowhere with their conversion of R-Type and they liked what they saw of Katakis, so they hired the same programming team (Manfred Trenz and others) to do the C64 conversion. They only got 6 weeks to write the conversion, and sadly, it shows. Katakis was eventually altered and released as Denaris in 1989. Tunes #2 to #14 all cover of the arcade game. |

NecroPolo:
I really like the warmth and softness of mixing here. Maybe some leads tend to meow too much but who cares? It is good stuff.
Ryrynz:
Gold.
Jojje70:
Superb remix with a rich soundscape, well mixed and great leads! Very very nice work, I love it!😊
Rohyp Nose:
Great production, funky sounding! Nice homage in clubbish wrapping!
loz:
Great sound dude
Deathmetal4ever:
Superb workmanship!
LaLa:
Got my foot dancing and my fingers tapping! Some of the instruments could be a bit more refined, but the arrangement is really good.
Karmar:
Dance now!
mfe:
Nice mix, like the occasional use of artistic license, but it feels just a bit empty thanks to the equalization and mixing. A better balance would net a red-face.
ZnL:
I like it, very nice Remix!
migu:
Muteness? More like LOUDNESS! Otherwise pretty good arrangement but so flat that your ears get tired before the half point. Sorry.
omoroca:
This tune seems to consist of reverb only! Plus too repetitive! Plus wrong chords. Although they don't sound too bad!😉
